Familie als partner in de zorg

'There are some indications that family involvement may be linked to important outcomes for the person with dementia; e.g. in a large US study of 400 residents with dementia, Dobbs et al. (2005) indicate that engagement in activity by the person with dementia is higher where family are involved both in social engagement and in the assessment of the person’s preferences. From the same study, Zimmerman et al. (2005) report that family involvement is significantly associated with some aspects of quality of life for the person with dementia."
